Click and Collect FAQs


Who can access the service?

The service is available for current MidCoast Libraries card holders.



What if I’m not a member?

You can join online here. Once you have completed the online form you will need to visit us at one of our MidCoast Libraries branches within 30 days to collect your membership card.



Is there a cost for the service?

There is no charge for the Click & Collect service.



How do I order?

Complete a Click & Collect form for each library member in your family and library staff will select up to 20 items per card. If you currently have reservations available, they can be included in your loans. 



How do I collect?

Staff will notify you by SMS or email and your loans will be ready and waiting for you.  Collect from your nominated branch library during regular opening hours. This is a minimum contact service.



How long will it take before I can collect my order?

Library staff will notify you within 72 hours of receiving your order.



How long will you hold my items for collection?

Once you receive notification that your order is ready for collection you will have 72 hours to collect.



Can I get home delivery?

Home delivery is available for vulnerable persons. For more information on this program refer to the Home Library Service.



Can I make my own selection and pick them up?

Reservations can be placed as normal, via the online catalogue or library app. However these items may not be available in time for your Click & Collect order.



What if I am unable to collect my items?

Contact your library branch if you are unable to pick up your items. The library will hold your items for 72 hours. If they are not collected, the items will be returned to the shelf including any of your reserved items.



What is my password?

Your password for all of our online services is the 6 digits of your birthday. In the format DDMMYY.



Can I collect items for other people?

Yes. You will need the person’s name and library card number to collect items on their behalf.



Can I renew the items I have on loan?

You can renew your items on loan as normal via the library app, online catalogue or calling your preferred branch.



Will I receive titles I’ve read before?

You may.  However Library staff will check your account to see if you have read a title before placing it in your Click & Collect order.
